Portable CT Scanner
In 1998 the sale of portable CT scanner units in specialty markets was not well developed. The opportunity to provide high quality, pre-owned portable CT scanner equipment to this market segment, along with extraordinary customer service was the motivation to form Group 5 Tech, Inc. The company was founded on sound principles and a conservative business model. After five years the portable CT scanner company was growing and healthy but needed greater market penetration. Rick Stockton of Atlas Medical Technologies (Ontario, California) presented a strong market presence on the west coast, but had little access to the east coast. These men reasoned that combining the strengths of both companies would be beneficial to everyone looking for a portable CT scanner.
